ACTIVITIES SIP '98

 

CHESS: Matches are aimed at individuals or teams at different levels, systems and modalities, PC program exchanging, films projections. Fast game matches. Regulations are at our IPA chapter.

DRAWING COMPETITION: Open subject upon which to work; so is the case as far as techniques used. Prizes for the first three works selected: 100.000, 50.000 and 25.000 "pesetas"; special mentions will be given in addition. Works must be sent to our address before 30 of April, 1998. All works will displayed at Calella. Regulations are in our IPA office.

COLLECTING: There will be an open area for exchanging collector's items which will take place on Friday 5 of June 1998. Also displays of private collections as well as IPA's. Regulations are at our IPA chapter.

SOCCER/FOOTBALL: Matches among 16 national and foreign teams organized in 4 groups: mini-league at 1 match; the winners will play semifinals, and so on until the final match. In addition to these games, there will be a final match between a selection team of all IPA participants and a professional soccer team.

WOMEN INDOOR FOOTBALL: Matches should bring together policewomen from different nationalities. Games will be played among 12 teams formed by goalkeeper and 4 players. There will be trophies. Regulations are at our IPA chapter.

MEN INDOOR FOOTBALL: Indoor matches among 24 nationals and foreigners teams, according to UEFA rules. Teams will be composed by goalkeeper and 4 players. Lots of trophies. Regulations are at our IPA chapter.

FISHING: Fishing will take place on closed up zone of Calella's main beach. There will be parking reservation for all participants. Free bait. Two fishing-rod for fisher will be allowed. Lot of trophies. Regulations are at our IPA chapter.

NATIONAL SEMINARY: The topic will be "Private Security". The subject matter will presented by Law experts, judges, public prosecutors, university professors as well as highly qualified professionals in this field. Students will receive a diploma of attendance for a professional credit. Regulations are at our IPA chapter.

INTERNATIONAL SEMINARY: The topic will be "Domestic violence". Lectures will be conducted by foreign and national Law experts, university professors, as well as experts on this field.There will be simultaneous translation in English, German and Spanish. Attendants shall receive a diploma as accreditation. More detailed information in the main program.

SCUBA DIVING: Team competition will take place in a delimited zone of Calella's main beach. There be exercises on scuba orientation, rescue, etc. We will be try to provide participants with tanks, regulators and weights. We can count with the support of Spanish Red Cross. TENNIS-TABLE: Open for male and female participants. There will be 64 participants who shall compete during 4 days. Heat games. There will be trophies. Regulations are at our IPA chapter.

POLICE SHOOTING: Including in the SIP '98, we proudly present the Fourth International Championship of police shooting. The match will be base on three undisclosed situations, two of which will be individual and one in patrol. Weapons used must be regular service. IPSC shooting situations. There shall be a practicing area. Regulations are at our IPA chapter.

 

FORMAL AND SOCIAL CEREMONIES

 

OPENING CEREMONY: Will take place on Sunday 31 of May. There will be free refreshments and snacks.

"SARDINADA": On Tuesday, 2 of June, at 22.00 hours there be an informal beach party in which sardines will be grilled. Everyone is invited free of charge.

"CANTADA DE HAVANERAS": On Thursday 4 of June, at 22.00 hours there will be a concert of old sailors' songs with free "ron cremat" (local drink made with burned rum).

CLOSING CEREMONY: On Friday 5 of June at 15:30 hours the show will begin with a football match between an IPA selection and the "CalellaFC"; it shall be followed by an ultra-light plane show, sky divers, helicopters and a police horse parade. Finally there will be a formal dinner and dancing which should last until the early morning on Saturday 6 of June.
